Chicken wings. If you asked Chef Jack Ovens to name his favourite dish from his new cookbook, Dig In, chicken wings would be the answer. So much so that he’s given you not just one, but two recipes for you to choose from. Or you could be like us and make a double batch of both and eat them all at once. They really are that good.

Dig In features many of Jack’s biggest recipes from his YouTube channel, Chef Jack Ovens. There’s the Creamy Mushroom Chicken with Jack’s world famous sauce. There’s his Butter Chicken, and his brother’s Chicken Tikka Masala. For those with a sweet tooth, Jack’s Creme Brulee Cheesecake is next level. So too his Insanely Good Chocolate Chip Cookies that we obsessed over while shooting Jack’s book.

Jack’s cookbook is a reflection of how he cooks at home: easy recipes made from scratch and wasting as little as possible. Have lots of leftover veggie scraps? Make a stock. Too many egg whites? A Ham, Cheese & Spinach Egg-White Omelette is calling your name. Dig In features more than 80 recipes, all beautifully photographed, with simple-to-follow instructions, hints and tips so you can re-create them at home.

Let’s dig in!

Jack Ovens

Producing a cookbook has always been a huge dream of mine and I’m incredibly excited to be able to share this with you. The whole book is structured around how I like to cook at home, which is to minimise food waste and tie everything together. I want to cook the best thing possible using minimal ingredients, and where everything has a purpose. I hope you enjoy sharing these recipes with your loved ones.
